Invest in a Lifeline: Connecting People to Resources Nationwide

  • Every 2 seconds, someone in the U.S. seeks help. We make sure those requests don’t go unanswered.
  • Making a Difference One Life at a Time
  • Founded: Jan 2025
  • Volunteers: 100+ and growing
  • Individuals Assisted (clients) : 1,537 Clients in our first year (2025)
  • Partnerships: Hospitals, schools, nonprofits, faith based, EMS, mental health, and local businesses
  • We We Are

We Are The Others (WATO) connects individuals facing challenges—housing insecurity, food access, civil rights issues, grandma meeds a new pair glasses, disaster support, anything that falls in the category with "Need help with _____"—with resources and services nationwide. Our model combines technology with compassionate, volunteer-led case management to ensure every person feels seen, secure, and supported.

Volunteer lead, staff supported, driven by a community that believes Kindness Matters.

    Why It Matters

    • Need- Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. seeks help. Many requests are urgent; others are chronic. A simple hand up can change a life. We Are The Others ensures those requests don’t go unanswered.
    • Fragmentation- When WATO started there was 2.5 million nonprofits. Now there are less than 1.5 million in the USA. Knowing what is still available, what programs are funding, and where to turn is a hurdle. Plus, resources don't often communicate or collaborate together for the best support for the Client (person with need) or even donor dollars.
    • Accessibility and Stress Reduction- WATO transforms the experience of seeking help by replacing stress and uncertainty with clarity and speed. Our nationwide platform and volunteer-led support eliminate barriers like geographic isolation, digital divides, and complex eligibility rules—making critical resources accessible to everyone, everywhere.

    Our Impact

    Starting strong in 2025

Board formed, and legal paperwork submitted in Jan. 2025. Received our long form IRS tax except 501(c)3 status Feb. 2025.

    100+ volunteers recruited

Volunteers are the lifeline and engine of WATO. We always planned to be a volunteer led, staff supported organization to maximize the influence and impact volunteers can make locally, nationally, and as a societal solution

    150+ Partnerships

Partnerships with hospitals, schools, mental health, EMS, nonprofits, faith based, and small businesses. They provide the aid, as well as send us clients that they can't assist.

    1537 individuals assisted in 2025

We get new clients (those with needs or challenges daily). And several have become repeat clients as they overcome and succeed through previous needs. The word is getting out about WATO, and the demand for us grows daily.

    What makes us different

WATO goes beyond simply listing resources—we actively walk alongside individuals to ensure they get connected to the right help. Our case managers are backed by our Client Action Team (CAT), a dedicated group of volunteers who spring into action when resources aren’t yet in our system, researching and finding solutions tailored to each client’s needs. We’re building a single, reliable hub of information that stays current through partnerships and community-supported knowledge, detailing program capacity, eligibility requirements, and steps to access aid.

What truly sets us apart is our community-led model: donors, volunteers, and advocates unite under the belief that Kindness Matters, driving every connection we make. And we believe in collaboration, not competition—partnering with other resource hubs, nonprofits, and providers who share our pledge to confidentiality, best practices, and a commitment to making lives better. Together, we’re creating a seamless, stress-free pathway to support for those who need it most.
